1.Oem sports exhaust opting for no centre cats.
2. Fitted the valve delete plug so they stay open all time
3. Fitted a Miltek sports cat down pipe as part of my stage 2
4. Replaced the main exhaust with the Miltek 80mm system
5. I considered removing the back box and going straight pipe to the tips but thought it may drone too much. I decided to have the cat core removed and fitted Kindig Customs motorised exhaust cut outs.
It will be interesting to see what it sounds like now.

I like the ability to have the car quiet when I want and then make a racket on demand so valves would be a must for me. I looked at the dumb exhaust steering wheel switch but I have concerns that any manual switch won't open the valves at high RPM which can cause a few issues.
The Cete controller sounds good but in reality I would never use the finer functions
As it is I an happy with it in "D" quiet at normal revs and in "S" noisy. Flick of the gear lever does it all.
Did like the R8 that RE perf did, in "normal" through cats and out the OEM exhaust holes, in "sport", foot long straight pipes out of the back of the turbo to a centre outlet. bit of an animal! Shame the RS3 turbo outlet is not 12" from the back end .

My exhaust is now back with new casing where the cat was and the flanges welded on ready for the motorised cut out flaps.

Sounds interesting but although I'm logged in I can't see or access those pictures? I just get the message "You do not have permission to view this attachment."
