Hi guys,

p0172 fuel system too rich

Was mapped by MRC a couple of weeks ago and they fitted a bigger hpfp a few days after this was done it came on, I done some checks for intake leaks etc which all seemed to be ok, injectors/spark plugs are all new and cleared the code

Came back on tonight

Any one had this issue before?

Hi guys,

Came back on tonight on the way back from Tesco

Suspecting (since the fault never appeared before the map) that the map/uprated fuel pump internals are to blame

Any one had this issue before?

That code is an issue with bank 1 O2 sensor ( 1st after the turbo before the cat) Could just be a coincidence or the 02 was on its last legs before the remap & now don't like it.

Speak to Doug & see what he says ?

The problem was the fuel filter of all things... checked on vcds and the lp fuel system was intermittently over pressure - bought a genuine 6.6bar filter and the pressure dropped by about 6 bar. (had a cheapo wix filter on it)
