Hi Guys,

 

I've been out the RS scene for a while now with a current A6 avant (work horse) and now is the time for me to treat myself to an early Christmas present.

 

I've been scanning the net for a good 4 months and there has been a few RS3's that have come and gone within days and they are only getting rarer.

I'm looking for preferably a Misano / Black or Mica Blue i believe it is, with below 50k miles ideally (lower the better), FSH and all service and inspections etc up to date. Wing backs would be nice but not a deal breaker.

 

There is one that I have had my eye on for the past week or so on Autotrader which is PERFECT but the owner never replies or phones me back, I've tried numerous emails, phone calls and voicemail messages leaving my name and number but never hear anything back. so i've given up on it. Its a shame really as its probably the nicest RS 8P on there at the minute but there's only so much I can do.

 

Funds are ready and good to go. My budget is around £20-21k max for the right vehicle.

Phew! I bought my RS3 from that garage. The owner is a proper bellend and salesman Faz is a compulsive liar! Had a shocking buying experience with them.

Which garage was this as there's quite a few bad un's in Bradford  . If its the one with the Audi exclusive red interior then I believe its been for sale for a while. I've seen another now anyway which i'm hoping to go view this Sunday so fingers crossed!

Auto Prestige. They bought that 1 weeks after I bought mine from them in March. Makes me think I paid strong money for mine looking at the prices now. Apart from a few initial teeth problems though. Mines been pretty bang on. Good luck buddy.

Doesn't sound the best place to go then for a used car. What teething problems did you have?

 

I picked up a 2013 RS3 today, Misano with low mileage, carbon inlays, alu pack, anti-glare wing mirrors, FASH with haldex services, new OEM discs and pads front and rear. Has a few minor stone chips on the front and one on the back somehow but i'll get those rectified in due course. I'm just over the moon to be back in an RS3 8P, feels so good, i've missed the sound! Fingers crossed its a good 'un!

yeah engine cover straight swap pull off, push on. Manifold cover is held on with 3M foam tape so either replacement tape or a sealant works a treat.

They do look good in Misano Red - especially when detailed

The car came from Aberdeen Rob. Id have run a mile if the car was registered in Bradford. As judgemental as that sounds.
Thr Haldex failed the day after i got it and the rear calipers had seized but interestingly the car passed an MOT days before. I managed to get £500 out of the garage though. So the haldex was covered with a bit of change for the calipers. Other than that, its been spot on. Yours sound the same as mine spec wise. Ive changed the brakes myself. Just had an interim, new MP4S's and a geo. Had an APR map too. Its a different car with the tyres and geo done. Im looking at the dog bone and gearbox inserts next and then front and back bumper as you said.
