Thanks I was worried about changing from the 255 fronts and the car looking a bit leaner as a result.

There’s a thread somewhere and I’ve a picture of the fronts from side angle.

This the one you bought bud:

See they fared best overall in this review:

How's the road noise from them in comparison to the Pirrelis? (I realise its a moot point anyway as the Pirellis are made out of cupcakes but wanted a comparison on what I currently have). And how's the wear on your mileage so far?

As you say Scott - I wouldn't compare anything to the Pirellis as they are not fit for purpose.

In any event,I tend to like to generate as much noise as possible and have written off the money put towards my B&O system and prefer to listen to the 1-2-4-5-3 orchestra.

no mate on here.
£100 in voucher offer too.
They were £130 each when I bought them in April looks like they’ve gone up now.

Thanks Sean, will hunt around for deals and decide on these or the Michelins from there.

From what I have seen Scott is that, if you are ever thinking of going near the track, PS4s are the way to go. Haven't seen anyone on Goodyears so that one is a bit of an unknown - I have stuck them on the wife's car but it is a 2L 8p TDI - not going to see much abuse.

I think it'll be the best deal Tony as both seem very good. Not planning to track it but who knows. Have no trust in the Pirellis after recent experiences so looking forward to a more sure footed ride in the future (ooh er)

Kwik Fit did have a bit of a deal going on the Goodyear F1s when I did the 8p - £87 a corner as I recall (this was last week). Then again, Blackcircles are running sporadic deals on the PS4's - see if you can catch one or the other and job done.

No - the Mrs was brave. I was the one that got fleaced by a totally unessary alignment (£70) after letting her go in there alone.  The existing tyres were perfectly worn so, in they made any changes to the camber, they will have made things worse.  Idiots.

And I include the wife in the generalisation.  It is all part of the problem of discounted MOT's - lets face it, garages cannot do a MOT for £30 - they will need to obtain servicng work to make it work or upsell services.  I am a bit hacked off as they had already replaced 2 tyres so I naively thought that they would be ok.

Doh.
