Was considering ferodo ds2500 pads and vagbremic dics

What pads do Audi use is it brembo ?

I wouldn't use DS2500 due to pad build up on the disc which can manifests itself into steering vibration as myself and Graham RS3Jet have found.

Martin @ Reyland used to recommend DS2500s but doesn't anymore due to the reasons I've given above.

I do think Audi use Brembo pads but I couldn't say if their made to Audi spec or an off the shelf one ?

SK-RS3 refresh my memory what RS3 do you own ?

FL 8v bud - be it’s first brake change it’s only done 13k
There’s so many discs out there but nothing says oem parts except Audi pull your pants down prices

You still on the bikes too ?

Yep still have the MT07 do you still have the BMW or any other bike now mate ?

The brake disc/pad replacement is a minefield if you don't want your pants pulled down with OEM.

You could just look about for any pads which are R90 compliant for the fronts which means they meet OEM performance standards for road use,for your rear you could fit stock Ferodo or Mintex disc and pads off eBay as the 310mm disc are used throughout the VAG range.

I'm running the 8v 8pot set up on the 8P so I've been around the block on this one but my needs/usage is probably different to yours.

Yea mate still got the BM not managed to bin it yet hahah

Think I might go brembos front and rear and vagbrembic discs rear the amount of driving I do in it should be ok.
Any thing has got to be better then the no brakes I’ve got right now 😂

I'm starting to think of this too. I was thinking of Reylands but they don't seem to want to confirm if they have the offset for the 8VFL saloon. Tempted by VBT as they used to know what they were about but not sure Dave B has much to do with them now.

Hi,

I just changed my brakes last week. Hope the below helps

Assuming you have the 8v sportback (I have the prefl and use the fl discs) I used the following parts

Front discs:
https://m.autodoc.co...brembo/17397747 (I paid £578)

Front pads:
https://www.sparkplu...ke-pads-fdb5023

Rear discs:
https://www.mtecbrak...m/mtec1471.html
I added the silver protective coating
I also asked for both discs to be b versions so that they followed the same drill directions as the fronts.

Rear pads:
https://www.sparkplu...ke-pads-fdb4697

This doesn't come with a wear sensor - I soldered the wires together or I think you can get pre made sensor deletes
