Maybe Dell
Nonetheless new Fronts should cure the issues hopefully.
The DS were the also the only pad that worked on my 8P
That’s until a certain brake ‘expert’ on here and a know it all on another forum dissed them.
Sean.
Funny that as his AP brake kits come with AP pads with the part No AP2500 🤔
Well they did on the brake kit Jay bought 2nd hand which i believe originated from said individual.

One thing I noticed about the Reyland discs is they don`t seem to go anywhere near as rusty as OEM. After washing thecar it`s very noticeable .There is just a light brown tinge whereas the OEM would be bright orange.
Neil.
Same here & when used hard they change colour accordingly but return quickly back to normal colour.

So Ive noted the slight rustiness on the reyland discs too, as above nothing like the standard discs but its there - The alcon discs are rust free, and clearly of better quality. Ive emailed Martin to see what he says.
Fitted the shims yesterday, and all squeaking has gone, for the time being........will report back.
What I will say is the bite and feel of my new brake set up it quite incredible, and when properly used, they are phenomenal, time and time again - Obviously fast road use only.
The cars feels fully set up now :-)

Any disc which has iron in its make up will show signs of rust & also depending on the disc pad make up.
Many years ago BMW & Moto Guzzi motorcycles used cast iron brembo disc which unlike other motorcycle used stainless steel ones & there were notorious for rusting after getting wet.
Do remember the cost between the Reylands & Alcon reflect in the quality mate.

My Reyland fronts are spotless and rust free after 4 months. Only ever been washed with suds and thoroughly dried afterwards, the wheels come off if I'm using any other products to clean the wheels. Just wish they would do a 355mm rear conversion kit as per that other guy, for rear brake vanity purposes
Stock rears are awful looking.
When I return to stock and remove the brakes I’ll pass on my rear disc to Dell to get a set made up, if that’s a route he wishes to pursue still in the future.

agreed. I would never buy a new kit for those prices.Good work Jamie, I think a few of us would be into a Reyland 355 kit, the other guys (TWR) kits are a tad pricey.

Like you i would only go down the 355mm route for looks but not at TWR prices.😖
Tbh I've found the backs don't work that hard so they would really be just superficial mate.

Maybe Reyland are missing a trick here, there would appear to be a gap in the market for a rear upgrade kit, considering other models across a platform sharing the OEM 310mm set up. For a lot of owners looks and aesthetics are also a big part of modifications.

Reyland do a 355mm rear kit for the VW T5 vans so if they had a rear hub & caliper for a 310mm set up they could make up a 355mm kit.
I supplied them a borrowed from Jay 310mm rear disc to make my 2 piece rears which has you correctly stated fits a lot of vag cars.

£1000 + vat for a pair of slightly bigger discs......Fyi APR (via 3rd party) and TWR prices are similar as I've checked. Not sure why you guys are on Tom's case all the time :-/

I'm not on his case at all. I have no previous experience on here with him. He has been informative and responsive to any questions I have asked about his products recently. I just can't justify the price point for basically an aesthetic modification. A two piece disc/bracket combo at circa 1200 quid is a bit much for me.
