At the weekend i changed oil/oil filter & cleaned out the pump strainer which after 30k was very clean unlike others I've heard about.

I’ve borked at doing mine due to access issues so mines in at an independent tomorrow for them to do it. I’m supplying all the parts and I’ll chat with the tech in case they haven’t done one before
Rob.
On a 2 poster its ok but flat on your back under the RS its sh*te but not impossible mate
If you don't have a good pump with a thin hose & a very short 4mm allen key( i cut one down to access the top bolt for the filter ) your be stumped & very stressed out.
Next time i'll be going to the garage Jay uses to do it for me mate.

Dell how does the filter come out mate? once you get the cap off is just a twist or a pull? or both lol mine was wedged and i was in a rush so i gave up and just changed the oil which looked new. I will do it again properly very soon.
I also made the schoolboy error of dropping the diff oil instead first by accident. freaking bolts are so close together.

Vroom.
Getting the filter spacer out was my biggest problem followed by doing up the top allen key due to having surgery 5 weeks ago.
I managed to twist the space to break the sealing affect of the O ring on the spacer.
Then fished out the filter but I also remove the pump to clean the strainer which is fitted to it as that collects a lot of dirt & will kill the pump if it clogs.
I personally think the pump strainer is more important to clean then changing the filter.

Just dropped mine off at the garage to do mine with a new filter. I had my pump changed a few years ago but I can guarantee Audi didn’t clean or replace the strainer 🤯

At least that was do able once the large L shaped ring spanner was purchased.
The only other thing was you had to unbolt one the haldex to chassis brace pieces which was no hassle.

The strainer only comes with the pump & as it's made of plastic you just unscrew the 2 trox headed bolts & carefully clean in some brake/ clutch cleaner.
