Well I checked in this morning it was still in production. So today has been mega boring due to spending all day writing a GDPR Training course. The family were out enjoying themselves and even had a pub lunch whilst I was tied to the computer.
I just finished and trout it’s worth having another check to see if there’s been any change and it’s now built and off to quality control. Yes get in there! :-)

Not long now, so it will be interesting to see how quick the transport part takes.

 

Mine took 2 days to assemble but has been in quality control for 3 days now. I guess at least they get thoroughly checked before letting them go (we hope).

OMR - maybe the extra time in QA might mean it won’t have a rattly exhaust, squeaky brakes or tech issues.😂

Just had an email from Rimstyle who were clarifying which tyres I won’t on which rim. Hopefully that means they have the TPMS units and wheels have arrived from OZ.😃

On another note I see I wrote trout in a previous post. Auto spell strikes again lol.😂

Roy - Although your car is big enough to fit an RS3 in, I reckon it's so heavy it would sink in seconds.   

 

Does anyone know how long it takes to go from the factory to the docks? At the moment it's nearly 4 days showing in transport from the factory. I am not expecting it to be 100% accurate because I realised every update was done at Midnight and clearly that can't be the case.

when the 8V was coming out there were pages upon pages of what boat was fastest ,what tide was best , which captain sailed the best etc etc

 

Have a look you will find EVERY answer and then some !

I bet the dock workers love a new RS3 ....
If it was me I would have to see just how it launched up the gang plank, and then out of the dock to the trailer, in between another low paid, under valued hard done by sole will surely make sure to run it in for you

Trust me I have seen the idiots doing much worse at the docks, delivery drivers, mechanics and anyone else who can get their hands on them. I know people who delivery pre owned sporty cars and fudge the start mileage to spend more time ragging the crap out of them.

 

Roy - I know I am not the first person to buy a new RS3 but I'm going away on 23rd for my 50th birthday and wanted to go in the new car. You lot will jinx the boat to sink for sure.

As an example, my RS 3 took 17 day to reach the my dealer in the UK from when it left the factory in Ingolstadt.

From the factory to the docs took 5 days, it the sat at the docs foe a further 3 days & then a further 3 days to reach the port of Sheerness.

 

I know its a painful wait, but worth it in the end

Hi Rob - Mine left on the 1st and I was hoping 14 days but it’s in the lap of the Gods I guess.

Roy - if you could guarantee it arrived on time I’d give you £100.😂
