Can this turbo be used in the 8p Ben

8P & pre FL 8V same turbos/engines remember.

What’s people’s opinions I’m tempted in going the whole hog with this turbo????

If you go stage 2+ now & decide to fit a hybrid turbo at a later date your existing stage 2+ map will be worthless & it will cost you £950 for a stage 3 mapping at MRC.

I have a stage 2+ set up & would like to use Ben's turbo on my 8P but the added expense of a start from scratch remap isn't cost effective for me mate.

Hi guys and girls

 

I'm in a right predicament I'm trying to decide to go stage2+ or go straight to stage3

 

My intended use with the car will only be for road use, no intensions of track days,santa pod not even launch control !!!

 

Just purely fast road use

 

Ive been looking at Bens TTU510S looks good

 

Looking at the performance between a stage 2+ and a stage3 hybrid turbo theres not too much difference in terms of acceleration figures

 

However it would be nice having a 500BHP RS but is it worth me spending the extra 3K????

 

I notice the peak torque figure comes in at nearly a extra 800 revs compared to a std turbo

 

Extra 50/60 bhp

 

I'm just trying to decide guys :o :o :o

Why? What’s the issue? Money?
If it’s not money and you want 500 then you’ve answered your own question. If money is a factor then you your stage 2 route.

I was going to go stage 2+ but i think im going to hold off a little longer and use this turbo.

Hi sonny yes it is the same turbo, may even work better on the 8p, a unit is being fitted to a 8p over Christmas and being mapped in the new year.

I’m in same boat too was gonna go stage2+

However this turbo and dyno figures look very good so I’m gonna go for it I’m sure it’ll be very impressive on the road

I’ve spoke with Ben he’s very knowledgable in this field plus he has a 8V Pfl which he will take you for a demo run in

The RS3 is now installed with wmi. I have put the ECU back to stock form so we can implement map switching via a 5v signal.This will mean we can switch inbetween maps by a press of a button on the wmi gauge while driving and retaining stock management. This is R&D at it's best as we have no idea if it's going to work.

The RS3 is now mapped up on WMI, dragy times soon to follow. We are seeing 19c intake temps at redline with 880c EGT temps @ 2bar of boost.

While we was learning the med17.1.1 ECU we have been adding some tricks bits.
