Very cool video!
I would have thought 700bhp would have netted a better time than 10.99 but if it was with a 1.9 60' that's a low 10 if he can get it down to 1.5!
As a mechanical engineer, my #1 priority was safety factor, and hence why i went with a methanol kit - numbers are numbers and I would rather longevity as this is my daily drive.
Hoping to get to the 1/4 soon and run the car at full weight on street tyres and pump fuel - will also be able to distinguish if my current DSG tune with LC set at 4,300 is an advantage or disadvantage and perhaps dial it back to 3,000ish..

For that time he was running 99 pump fuel so circa 570-580bhp. The 670bhp figure his car achieved was on 109 race fuel.

Thanks for the clarification Shaunee - why would he run on pump when the car is tuned for race fuel?
I'm now considering going down the e85 fueling path in the future..

Had the DSG tune modified so LC went from 4,300rpm down to 3,300. ECU revision booked in for tomorrow
Need to find time to hit the 1/4!
Went for a sprint through the local hills yesterday and very impressed with the MSS spring kit! I had KW V3 coilovers in a previous car and the transformation matched with the magnetic shocks is on par - don't think ill need a RSB after all.

Any feedback on the GFB DV+ Nath?
Quality of the product is top notch, easy to install and works flawlessly
Installed as preventative maintenance, as OEM plastic one i suspect will only last for so long..

Which oil catch can have you gone for? Is it easy to install?

It's a Mishimoto baffled (sealed) can, as ones that vent to atmosphere are illegal down here.
The kit did not come with any hose or fittings.
My mechanic installed it, so unaware of difficulty sorry (did have to have bracket made up to install where it is)

Nath, I'm now running eTuners Stage 3 (LOBA LO500P turbo) ECU and DSG software. The DSG software is absolutely stunning - the shifts are lightening fast. I've only had the car back for a day, but it feels fantastic. Can't wait to got the vbox out and check some times.

Trying to fathom out those readings there nath. Those torque readings are very impressive if I’m reading correctly. Just one question would the old iron block engine in our PFL RS3 give similar readings at this stage of modding to the new one?
Our cast iron blocks are stronger than the new aluminum - on paper.. I am not sure what the new blocks are pushing (Hank etc) with their stage 2 kits. I was told by a couple of people 750Nm is the max for our DQ500 gearboxes, so i am satisfied with my safety factor at ~700Nm.
The torque is amazing for a daily driver, whilst the turbo is only a hybrid it performs exactly like i wanted

has the car lost low down torque in your opinion? Does it take longer to build up power?

Not at all, my Turbo actually starts to spool 200rpm before stock! I don’t have access to complete any logging myself, but next time I’m with my tuner I’ll do some normal pulls and publish the data.
