Red it is... ordered some vinyl.

Decided to wrap the vents today with vinyl that I ordered (this was pre cut vinyl which was laser cut specifically for the template of the RS3 vents).

Pictures below of the process. Took me approximately an hour to wrap each individual flap (28 total).

The vinyl pre cut strips


Each separate vent flap wrapped with the vinyl


Clipping them back into the front mount


The air directional octopus inserted in between each flap in order to open/close


Open/close



Placed back into main housing which I modified to fit in the mk1 dash


All four vents complete


Placed back into the car

Thread revival, looking to do this and wondering if all 8V vents are suitable (with modification) or is it a specific vent I need to buy?
