Blimey I read this thread and I was surprised so many people dislike the Saloon and prefer estates. Personally I think Audi should have had a dedicated sports shape called the R3.
I loved the shape of my Scirocco because it wasn't a saloon, standard hatch or estate, but sadly never got 4wd. If it didn’t come with a divorce I would have happily converted it to the new RS3 drivetrain.
The Saloon was a great sell to the wife as a sensible 4 door family car.

I agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but although I don’t dislike the SB I prefer the Saloon.
Dare I say it, I’m not ready to drive an estate car just yet ;-).

Love the saloon, then again I had a loon S4 and RS6. Would,have probably gone for an RS4 if they kept the V8 saloon.
I know I would not have got an RS3 if it was only a sport back. Audi - you listening - bring out the saloons
