Guys,
Thanks for your comments.... I really do appreciate them!
I'm just a "normal joe" though tbh..... who loves doing this kind of project work, finding stuff out and writing about it.
I'm glad people are finding it interesting..... I sure am.

As always great work Shaun.
Cant wait for the next one!
Have you been "racing" anything on the road that before you would have lost and now are pulling away from?
Team Nardo!
If in doubt flat out!

I will certainly (once we increase the power by a fair old whack) be looking to enter VMAX next year. A few of my mates already run in this event, which see's a lot of the big boy performance exotica turn up (hyper cars etc). Have a butchers on YouTube to see the kind of cars that enter.
It will be interesting to pit my RS3 side by side in a few video tear ups!
However.... there's no point in me taking a knife to a gun party, so I'll really need to substantially jack the power up for this kind of thing. Any excuse!

Ive seen the VMAX and think it will be a great day out! Hopefully you can hold your own up against the others.
That koenigsegg is a beast.
This comment to me sounds like your car is going places! Places like over the big 500-600 (just a small hump really )
You should get the gopro out and meet some mates up for a Sunday drive
Team Nardo!
If in doubt flat out!

In respect of where my car will end up..... who knows. I'm not looking to be the "outright quickest" by a long stretch. In fact far from it. There are plenty others out there with more dedication and higher goals (and undoubtedly deeper pockets! lol) than I have and fair play to them!
For me, at the moment, the self imposed limit is to not require a "built" engine. Whilst the car is a weekend blaster, it still needs to be a good road car. So again, that will probably dictate my resting point. However.... I have been known to sink over £30k+ into modifying a single car (on top of the car purchase price), so anything is possible! The likelihood of that happening again though is remote...... it's way too much stress and for a road car is probably pointless (the car alluded to was actually for competitive use).
I'm personally very excited about the up and coming work in respect of turbo development / testing. I won't be going down the "tried and tested" route of existing options.... I'll be trying some different specifications. Maybe they'll work and maybe they won't..... I / you will find out though.
Anyway... plenty more to do until any of this get's progressed. We have a small (but important) matter to look at first. Stage 2!

Has anyone yet found a Black RS3 front Grill Badge?
Huh? Did I miss something or is this a contender for random question of the week?

Should your 0-100mph be somewhat near 8.0 seconds? 8.81 is fairly close to stock RS3?

8.49s as in the latest VBOX data shown. This should be quicker on the public highway, due to increased tyre drag on the strip. A stock car is not as quick as this. For a stage 1 car to achieve that 0-100mph on the drag strip.... That's quick.

Never looked TBH. It would make the front look very non descript IMO. Needs the silver RS badge to break it up a touch.

Forgot to mention: Assuming an "Act of God" doesn't take place..... Stage 2 development will be commencing on Monday and will be finished by Friday in readiness for next Saturday's RS3-FEST.

Just a teaser shot of the initial stock setup (apart from the new crash bar fitted ready for the new intercooler to be swapped in) laid bare for baseline runs:
Full write up once everything is done and car is back with me.
