Just a little demo of how it now sounds on cold start.
I have similar sound but feels louder with Milltek catback because of larger pipes vs sport exhaust. Although I am going for Milltek decats also so little more sound probably? I have also the el mod which is much nicer than just a unplug solution. When I am fedup sometimes in the future I just switch to oem in 2 sec. Climbing around under the car doesn't feel so nice.

Shaunee - you mentioned yonks ago about some handling mods at some point to make it a bit more dynamic. Have you made any of those or any plans to?
TBH I find the car fine in the handling department for road use. I really doubt I'll bother look into that area now.... depends what comes up.

Have disconnected my valves whilst fitting H&R's last weekend and so far love it.
Just wish there was a solution to maybe have the valves open constantly whilst being able to manually shut them whilst on motorway journeys!

It has been written a lots of times that there is a mod and it cost about 1£ and maybe 1/2 an hour to do as simpel as that.

Really? I am not by no mening disrespectful but the el mod cutting these exhaust flaps was already on the 8P? It's a simple electric switch which you place where you open the bonnet at least on our right side driven cars. Then you cut the power on the exhaust flaps when they are in sport mode so they stay open. When you want it silent you just flip the 1£ switch so the power is on again to comfort and the car is silent again. It can of course be that it was only in another forum audisportnet? I have the link from there but don't know if its ok to put it here? What do you think?

Depending on what you want ? This is for those who wants to keep the flaps open all the time for more sound and quiet when you want. Probably similar thing to S7 or other RS/S models with electric controlled exhaust flaps.

Unfortunately the valves are still opening and closing dependant upon gear and revs when in Dynamic mode.
"Chav Mode" is only available by keeping the valves open by other means.

I never intended playing with mine until I read Aoon's thread, ( the car ) now not sure where I'm going to stop.
Thanks for taking the time and looking forward to the next instalment

I have the quick release number plate bracket. I'm now platelessEnjoyed the thread, we seem to have a lot in common Shaunee, and not just the colour. Have you not tried the quick release number plate brackets that came with the forge intercooler? It's always nice to compare figures after making the same or similar mods.

Yes... the insert assumes you'll be using the stock bolt.
Yes... torqued the nut up, but I can't remember the amount. It's stated in the fitting instructions.
Shaun,
Any update on the fitting of the dogbone? Has it made any discernible difference or caused any extra vibration/knocking (other than what you previously mentioned in your earlier post)
now driving a 'Daytona Lite' FL car.

I don't remember seeing those in the kit..... It's not really a problem now as the plate is relocated. I may give them a bell though to get a set sent through.
Glad to the thread is of some use!
