I have new front disks and the Redstuff pads on .. but the droning when braking is horrendous. Am thinking about going back to the original pads but am just wondering whether anything else could be causing the issue. Any thoughts anyone ?

Did you bed them in properly from day 1?
Have you tried doing the bed in procedure again (half way through the pads life)?
I find a series of hard braking applications tends to sort the drone out for a while but again I'd rather put up with drone than a vibrating and squeaky combo

I also have the Redstuff pads.Trust me after correct bedding in they will drone for about 2 days. Then it just stops of it`s own accord.

Car was recently serviced at Audi and they never flagged up need for new discs which in my eyes means there's life left in them or surely Audi would of tried to flog me some new ones.
But under heavy breaking starts of strong and then fades away. ( OEM discs and ebc yellowstuff pads )
Just wondering if just changing pads would solve this or do what some have done and changed discs and pads

Have no idea why but I'm still getting steering wobble when braking at high speed and at times at about 30 to 40 mph I have replaced the oem discs like for like, with red stuff pads using the correct bedding in procedure , refurbed the wheels, new tyres ! All front suspension parts replaced new bushes etc , so I'm at a loss to what it can be the only parts that have not been replaced on the brakes are the calipers??
David
A question.....
If you clean the discs (wheel cleaner then jet wash) does it disappear ?
I used to get this when I used redstuff but it went away after cleaning.
Then came back after a few days good driving.

The car does need a clean so I will give it a good going over at the weekend and clean holes out in the discs and test it and see what happens , I'm happy to say that's the only issue I have ! Thanks guys

Was it a Hunter road force balancer and did they match the wheels to the corners of the car?

As far as I know it is, not sure about matching the corners what do you mean by that a wheel alignment ?

No not wheel alignment ,if used properly the Hunter road force balancer can determine which corner is best to fit each wheel to get best results.
