Just done a few of mine, and did exactly as above.

Same with water magnet drying towels.

Another good one is to put them on a quick wash with some all purpose cleaner chucked in. Brings them up beautiful

did all mine today, non bio and zero softener....then on the line for a couple of hours to dry in the cracking sunshine!

all come up perfectly

I used to use water magnets and they were great but auto finesse drying towel has surpassed them for me :)

Cor blimey what a domestic thread this is - I wash mine like Uncle Fester but on 30 degree temp & add additional rinse cycle.

Yep no fabric softener and 40 degree.  I didn't know about the non bio thing though.

distilled vinegar in the fabric conditioner compartment too. brings them out all fluffy. not too much mind otherwise you cloths will stink of fish and chips

I can only imagine my wife's face if she saw me pouring vinegar into the washing machine.

I've read some serious sh1t on here in the pass.. But that one is right up there!

I bought some stuff  from PB http://www.polishedb...tore-cat24.html that seems to work better at removing waxes/sealants. I use this first and then use non-bio Fairy on 30 degree wash cycle but not tumble dry as I have a drying line in the garage , although not for much longer. Can tumble dry but must be on a cool cycle.

I never use softer as I thought it changes the property of the cloth, pretty sure I read it in detailers world a whole back, so always just washed at low temps with very little detergent amd preferably hang dry

For me only a 60 wash removes the carbon from the cloths that I use to clean the exhaust tips. Rest all come up perfect, too.

Colour coded cloths ensure certain cloths do certain jobs, 60 degree wash for the dirty bits for sure.... I realise it all getting a bit ocd so have stepped back from detailing a bit and only wash every 4-6 weeks! If you think about both though the car is less likely to pick up swirls
