Ideal MacD! Google maps says its about an hour to the cafe from Lymm services. Meet there at 9am? Gives us plenty of time then.
Yes sounds good, I'll sort a meet thread nearer time.

Guys and gals, I have been busy this week so am hoping to have a better look at the route and hotels in Llangollen next week and will post details as soon as I have some information.
It's a real bore having to drive the EVO triangle repeatedly ........ NOT

Hi folks, Well I had a fabulous day today mapping out the route which is coming on nicely. RS3rick, could you please have a look at the proposed route at the start of this thread and let me have any other potential roads you think would be good. I have to say that we have a great mix of roads for the day, technical twisting sections, stone walls, deep drops and then long marshy sections, wide valley sections with brilliant views of the road which really allow you to enjoy the best of the RS3. I have had my car for a year now and enjoy every minute of it, today was awesome!
For those who have asked about staying overnight I will send you a PM as I now have some recommendations in Llangollen.
As far as eating on the day is concerned the Pondarosa do a fab breakfast and I have talked to the events manager at Castell Deudraeth who is going to get some options for us for the day. Will let you have the details as soon as I get them. Also they have agreed to block off part of the car park directly in front of the castle so that we can park the cars in one place. Should look good. It was also confirmed that by eating in Castell Deudraeth we get free access into the village. The vollage is unique and a really special place.
I have timed all of the sections of the day which is working out well and have found a great place for us to finish for a brew and cake (if you are still hungry!!). its the cafe at Moel Siabod (details at www.moelsiabodcafe.co.uk/) it is about 55 mins away from Portmeirion on our way back to the A55. Will see on the day whether we want another stop or not.
Anyway that's it for now. Will post more as and when.
Robinsky.
