Hi RS3 nutters!

 

Just a quick message to confirm the arrangements for 12th June..... Thanks to everyone who came to the trial run, a fab day out and helped to confirm what we should do on the day. I have thanked Meurig at Portmeirion for treating us so well and not charging us the £110 access fee!. Top man. 

 

So.....

 

Arrive at the Pondarosa when you can (breakfast at 9.15!) so that we can all leave at 10am. Then onto the EVO triangle ( I still cant believe that the blue Skoda VRS unmarked police car let me catch him up at 60mph then blasted off doing probably 70 -75mph on the bends to try and goad us into following him then after a mile slowing down again and finally turning off on the side road before Cerrig!!! - I had seen the same car on Wednesday last week so recognised it immediately !!!)

 

Around the EVO and arrive at Llyn Celyn at 11.10am (ish!) ... Depart from the Llyn Celyn at 11.30am and arrive at Portmeirion at 12:15 (ish) and so to options....

 

Option 1) Lunch (12.30pm) at Portmeirion followed by free access to the village for a walk around this unique place for about an hour.  (normally £11). Depart from the village at 2.30pm 

 

Option 2) No Lunch at Portmeirion - Drive to Barmouth? and no access to the village. Join us back at 2.30 pm for the last two legs of the day? Will leave it up to those who want to to do this option to organise where to go.

 

For those who do not want lunch or access to the village please post a message here to let me know so that I can firm up tables / numbers etc asap.

Caroline will be posting details shortly on how to pay for lunch in advance of the day.

 

To confirm you can only get free access to the village if you eat at Castell Deudraeth.

 

So... 2.30pm leave for Swallow Falls Hotel for tea  / coffee biscuits.... and then leaving 4pm (ish) for the final leg (and Uncle Fester's favourite part of the route!) through Capel Curig, Bethesda and the tunnels on the A55 (I still need to hear Billy going through the tunnel!)

 

As with the trial run we will be keeping to all speed limits   but having loads of fun!!!!
