Thanks for highlighting this Rick. I.will register on the Rico site and see the route they are taking. As far as the day is concerned we will be having a sensible driving day as the main objective of the day is to meet everyone and have fun...not a race! ... and other than the Evo triangle I doubt they will be going to Portmeirion. They don't post the route until the day for obvious reasons. However I know the owner of Rico rally and the rough route they are taking. I am sure we would be five with the Sunday, just wanted to make you aware more than anything.

I met with one of the organisers today at the piston kings meet and mentioned our trip. He did say they won't be doing the triangle..

Currently 5 miles away from Ponderosa Cafe (start location for our drive) and the weather and scenery are just magnificent. This photo is looking towards the horseshoe pass where the safe is situated. Clear blue skies, most filled valleys with the sun burning through. Hope it's like this for our trip!!!

Well I have finally heard form Castle Deudraeth about the food options.

 

It looks like we have either a 2 course (£19.99) or three course selection (£24.95). I have to say the food there is fabulous and whilst its a bit picy you will enjoy it. 

 

Could you please have a look at the attached menu and let me know (via pm) what you would like. We need to confirm all food two weeks before the event.

Roy, I have asked for the usual special vegetarian option for you... Linda McCartney burgers. I know how much you love them!      

 

Don't foget the breakfast at the Pondarosa is fab... a full plate of food for £5!!! It's a must.

 

We will make a final stop at 4.30pm (ish) at the Swallow Falls Hotel... Am just sorting out the arrangements as we speak. (tea / coffee .... Welsh cakes!)

 

Am sure we won't be hungry on the day!

That's good. Ric from Rico rally is a really good guy and always helpful. If anyone is ever interested in a driving event to Europe then have a look at ricorally.co.uk. No stupid driving just a group of petrol heads who love their cars and driving.
