It is possible but not by parts normally from the A3 8P. I did not do myself but from the german forum some guys did it. Based on a other german forum:

it looks that if you can to a hifi installation yourself you also be able to put the mirrors.

Is it possible to retrofit the folding option then?

Take it I'd need some folding mirrors from an A3?

I find it really suprising that the wing mirrors aren't folding as standard on the RS3, though right now im grateful as probably be more pricey to get them re-fitted!

My friend who has a 08 jag with automatic mirrors couldnt beleive it. The next one surely has to come as standard.

My RS4 had every option going and that was as standard!  Cabriolet's came with all the boxes ticked.

It's my biggest gripe with the RS3 that its so basic as standard for a high end model.

There is a firm that will come out to your house and replace your mirrors with some folding ones, I know someone that did it, just need to dig it out.

Vito the auto folding is not an option on the 3 series they only fold by the mirror switch on the drivers door ( if you have this feature, some don't )

You will need to have the mirrors wired to the ignition by a qualified auto electrician
